Hydro-STIM is a next generation calf electrolyte solution (hypertonic oral rehydration solution) which has been formulated by veterinary surgeons and ruminant nutritionists. Oral Rehydration Solutions (ORS) remain the cornerstone of supportive care in cases of neonatal calf enteritis, the leading cause of mortality in calves less than one month of age.
This product complements the existing Precision Microbes unique liquid probiotic and postbiotic formula which has been designed to enhance rapid gut flora stabilisation during digestive upsets.

To assist rehydration a reconstituted dose of Hydro-STIM provides 2 litres to replace the fluid volume already lost to enteritis.

The main electrolytes that are lost during episodes of diarrhoea are sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), chloride (Cl-), and bicarbonate (HCO3-).
